Blue Square North club Farsley Celtic have signed 19-year-old centre back Josh Radcliffe.
The former York City player becomes Farsley's seventh summer signing and made his debut in the 1-0 defeat against a Leeds United XI on Friday night.
"It is nice to be wanted and it has given me a much-needed confidence boost. I really hope to be playing regularly," said Radcliffe.
Radcliffe joins his fellow former York City team-mate Liam Shepherd at Throstle Nest, who also signed this summer.
Farsley have so far brought in Lee Ellington, Dave Syers, Matty Young, Dave Pickering and former player Simeon Bambrook ahead of their new Blue Square North season.
Radcliffe was released at the end of York's disappointing 2008/09 season, which saw them just avoid relegation from the Blue Square Premier.
Manager Neil Parsley explained: "We were originally going to sit down after the Halifax and Leeds games to assess things but Josh has done enough to earn a deal with us.
"This is based on his performance against Halifax and the qualities he has shown in training."
