Nicky Law, manager of Blue Square North club Alfreton Town, is expecting to shake up his squad as his side step out on the FA Cup trail again this Saturday.
The Reds enter this season's competition at the second qualifying round stage with a home tie against AFC Wulfrunians, a team from four divisions further down the non-League Pyramid.
After last season's thrilling run to the second round proper for the first time ever, defeat at the Impact Arena is almost unthinkable for the Alfreton camp.
But, just a week after obtaining their best result of the campaign with a 4-0 home win over AFC Telford United, Law's side went down 5-3 at home to Stalybridge Celtic last Saturday.
Granted, it was a game which could have gone either way and Celts keeper Paul Phillips denied Alfreton on numerous occasions.
However, Law will be keen to iron out the inconsistencies as soon as possible and will be looking for a big response from everyone to last weekend's set-back.
One probable starter is Andy Todd who has notched three tremendous goals in his last two appearances, both from the substitutes bench.
A victory will put the Reds two just two wins away from the competition proper. But despite last season's heroics, and a first round proper appearance against Macclesfield in 2004, Alfreton's FA Cup form of the past ten years is littered with disasters against lower level sides.
Law will be demanding his side return to winning ways against a Wulfrunians team who are some ninety-two places below the Reds, currently lying thirteenth in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.
The Wulfs have been in fine form of late and come into the game unbeaten in seven games in all competitions and in a rich vein of scoring form, hitting fifteen in their last four outings.
They have also knocked out UniBond League Division One South sides Chasetown and Kidsgrove Athletic en-route to this round and will be eager to prove they can add an even bigger scalp to their collection.
Meanwhile, Law has allowed striker Jamie Yates to join UniBond League Premier Division side Boston United to gain some much needed match sharpness, while Kris Bowler's loan spell with the Pilgrims` league rivals Worksop Town has been extended a further two months to November 18th.
Defender Kyle McFadzean became the third current Alfreton Town player to gain England international honours last Tuesday.
He came on as a substitute with 20 minutes left in the 1-1 draw with Hungary in Budapest.
McFadzean joins strikers Paul Clayton and Liam Hearn to win an England `C` cap in the last seven months.
