Southport Sign Neighbouring Stirker

Blue Square North club Southport have signed big striker Jonathan Bathurst from uniBond League Division One North neighbours Skelmersdale United.

Bathurst signed for Skem from Vodkat North West Counties League side AFC Liverpool in November 2008.

This big, strapping, old fashioned-type centre forward, he played only a handful of games for Skem last season and spent the latter half of the season on loan to Ashton Athletic where he scored six goals in ten outings.

However, he took the eye in pre-season and was a regular in Skelmersdale`s first-team this season.
