The two afternoon kick-offs in Blue Square South ended with important home wins that keep Braintree Town and Bath City in the hunt for a play-off place at the end of the season.
Fifth-placed Braintree entertained the side immediately below them, Welling United, at Cressing Road and a decent Good Friday crowd of 799 saw the Iron gain three crucial points.
The only goal of the game came after 14 minutes through George Purcell.
Bath got their crucial Easter weekend off to a winning start as they eased to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Dorchester Town at Twerton Park.
A crowd of 738 saw goals in the 27th minute from Lewis Hogg and 55th by Kaid Mohamed to end a run of three successive defeats and secured one of the four wins Bath boss Adie Britton believes will be enough to earn a place in the play-offs.
The evening kick-off sees another of the play-off contenders, Staines Town, entertain relegation-threatened Worcester City.
