As part of the Club’s support for the campaign, at York City’s home game against Oxford United on Saturday 17th October, the first 200 children through the turnstiles, under 12 years of age, wearing something pink and accompanied by an adult will be able to purchase a seat in the Popular Stand for only £3. The normal price for the ticket would be £10.
All proceeds from the sale of the special tickets will be donated to Breast Cancer Campaign and supporters will be able to purchase the tickets from a special community stand near the turnstiles on the day of the match.
Commenting on the fundraising event, York City’s community co-ordinator Paula Stainton said: “York City is very keen to support this worthy charity and hope we can raise some funds while contributing towards increasing breast cancer awareness. The Oxford game is a top of the table clash and we really need our fans to get behind the team, so we hope families in the area will come along to the game and take advantage of the great offer while supporting this important charity.”
