York City`s KitKat Crescent will be the venue for the prestigious Army Signal Corps Cup Final this coming Friday, (31st July) kick-off 11am.
The match will be between 2nd Signal Regiment based at Imphal Barracks in York and 3rd (UK) Division Headquarters & Signal Regiment based in Bulford near Salisbury who are the current Army Challenge Cup Holders.
City are hosting the match as part of an initiative to improve relations with the Armed Forces and the local Signals regiment based in York and will be one of several activities between the club and Regiment. York City in the Community recently attended the Army in Yorkshire Open Day and 2nd Signal Regiment have supported the club by supplying extra turnstile operators for the pre-season friendly with Leeds United.
The York City Social Club will be open after the match, entry to the game is free of charge and all are welcome.
