York City boss Martin Foyle has revealed his displeasure after recent reports in the media claimed the Blue Square Premier club have already clinched the signature of defender Djoumin Sangare.
Various websites have published reports claiming former Salisbury player Sangare has already agreed terms on a permanent contract at KitKat Crescent, much to the annoyance of Foyle.
The York boss told the club's official website: "Several reports that I have read state that I have added Djoumin to the squad.
"This is not strictly true as although I have offered the player a contract with the club, he has not yet accepted and I am concerned that statements to the contrary are not only misleading to our fans but may upset the player concerned.
"As soon as Djoumin makes his decision, the club will of course make an announcement but reports that he has joined the club are premature."
