Magpies Bring in Hill and Critchell
30 November 2009 10:57:00

Blue Square South club Dorchester Town have brought in....

...Kyle Critchell, who was skippering neighbours and league rivals Weymouth, have re-signed Ryan Hill from Zamaretto League Premier Division side Bashley, and hope to tie up a deal for another former Weymouth player, James Coutts.

Hill (pictured) went straight into the squad for Saturday’s clash with Woking after agreeing a deal with caretaker/player-manager Ashley Vickers.

Critchell was able to move after activating a clause that after the club was unable to pay players for a number of weeks – it is around eight weeks since the last official payments were made to staff – he was free to leave.

Critchell had the opportunity to go on trial with an un-named League Two club but couldn’t afford to have two weeks away from work, while possible moves to two other Blue Square South sides were put on hold because the now ex-Weymouth skipper isn’t able to drive at the moment.

Coutts is just training with Dorchester at the moment but Vickers hopes it could lead to more.
