Dorchester Town have revealed that former vice-chairman Shaun Hearn is their new chairman after acquiring a 52% shareholding in the Blue Square South club.
An official statement from the club reads: "After lengthy negotiations Shaun Hearn, managing director of the Hearn Group of Companies, has acquired the majority shareholding in DTFC that was previously held by Eddie Mitchell and Tony Newman.
"David Roberts will step down as chairman, but remain on the Board, Shaun Hearn will become Chairman, and will be joined on the Board by Adam Robertson, as finance director, and David Martin as Director and Secretary.
"Further appointments will be announced in due course.
"The club would like to place on record its thanks for the substantial contribution Eddie Mitchell and his colleagues have made to Dorchester Town FC over the last two-and-a-half years."
