Left-sided midfielder Andy Caton made his debut for Blue Square South club Weymouth at Thurrock last Saturday.
Caton is the son of former Manchester City and Oxford United defender Tommy and was at Team Bath when they folded at the end of last season.
He was originally with Swindon Town where he shot to fame at the age of just 16 years of age when he came off the bench for the Robins in a League match at Wrexham and scored the winner in a 2-1 victory.
He made a number of appearances that season and seemed destined for bigger things the following season before he was hit with a cruciate knee ligament injury which forced him out of football for almost the entire season.
His recovery from that injury received a further set-back when he suffered a skull injury in a car crash and, despite battling back from this set-back, he was released by the Wiltshire side in December 2007.
He then joined Swindon Supermarine and also had trials with a number of League clubs, including Coca-Cola League Two side Lincoln City, and signed for FTL Futbol Hellenic League side Witney United in March 2008 in order to get some match practice in before arriving at Team Bath.
Terras` boss Matty Hale said: “We’ve been looking for somebody to come in on the left side and having played at Team Bath last year, and Oxford City this year, Andy’s got experience playing at a good level.”
