Young central defender Tom Sharpe becomes the fourteenth member of Kidderminster Harriers' squad for the new season after agreeing terms on a deal at the Blue Square Premier club.
The 20-year-old has impressed Harriers during pre-season, having made five appearances in friendly games, and secures a contract after being released by Nottingham Forest at the end of last season.
Sharpe came through their famed Academy, and although he never made a first-team appearance after turning professional, he was a big part of their hugely successful reserve side which finished runners-up of its division in 2008/09.
He'd broken into that side whilst still an apprentice and it goes without saying the youngster will be pushing hard for a first-team berth at Aggborough next season.
"Tom has been excellent for us and he's another player who just wants a chance to do well," says boss Mark Yates.
"He's a good, young talent who has an excellent football upbringing. He wants to play the right way and we're pleased to have him with us."
Meanwhile Harriers can confirm that a deal has been reached to allow the transfer of Sam Foley to Newport County.
The FA have now cleared him internationally to play for the side he spent a spell with last season. He leaves Aggborough without making a first-team appearance, with Yates adding: "Sam goes with our best wishes. I know he's enjoying it over there and we wish him well for the future."
