Blue Square Premier club Kidderminster Harriers have confirmed the appointment of Steve Burr as the new first-team manager on a two-and-a-half year contract.
The 50-year-old former Macclesfield Town striking legend is one of non-League football's most respected bosses following his work at Nuneaton Borough and Northwich Victoria, the latter with whom he made a lasting in the Blue Square Premier some seasons ago.
Currently assistant coach to the England `C` side, Burr has, for the last two-and-a-half seasons, been manager at Stalybridge Celtic where he has consistently been amongst the promotion contenders in the Blue Square North.
Harriers can confirm that they agreed a substantial compensation package with the Bower Fold outfit for Burr's services.
He becomes Kidderminster manager on a contract until the end of the 2011/12 season.
The club can also confirm that caretaker-manager John Finnigan has been offered, and accepted, the role as player/assistant-manager to Burr with immediate effect.
