Blue Square North club Corby Town have signed midfielder Elliott andy on loan from Zamaretto League Premier Division side Brackley Town.
Sandy has joined the Steelmen on an initial one-month deal and will go straight into the squad for the New Year`s Day trip to Gainsborough Trinity.
However, Corby boss Graham Drury has missed out on Buxton winger Joe Wilcox, who has opted to stay with the UniBond League Premier Division outfit.
“Elliott will be in the squad for the next game and he`s been training with us this week so he can get to know the lads ahead of Friday,” said Drury.
“It`s a month`s loan at the moment but it could turn into a permanent signing if it all goes well for him with us.
“I need him at the moment because Brett Solkhon looks like he`s going to be out with his knee again so we need someone to come in and take his place, and Elliott can be that man.”
On missing out on Wilcox, Drury said he had opted to stay at Buxton for the time being for `footballing reasons`.
“We made him a good offer which was a bit more that what Buxton were offering but they`ve helpedhim with his money and to be fair to the lad, he feels comfy in his football at the moment.
“He spent the summer trying to find a club and Buxton came in and helped him and he feels settled there.”
