Alfreton Town all-but secured a Blue Square North play-off place for a second successive season after a goalless draw in front of a crowd of 329 at the Butcher`s Arms against fifth-placed Droylsden on Monday night.
The point puts Alfreton on sixty-seven points with three games remaining, nine points ahead of sixth-placed Hinckley United, who also have three games left, the last of which is at the Impact Arena against the Reds.
Alfreton also have a massive goals differential advantage over the Leicestershire side as well and it would take a freak sequence of results to deny Nicky Law's side a play-off place now.
As for the Bloods, they still have work to do, being just three points in front of the Knitters and having played two games more and with only one left against Redditch United on 24th April.
Eastwood Town could still be a threat to Dave Pace`s side, as the Badgers still have four games to play.
