Steelmen Earn Three Vital Points

In what was a `must-win` game for Corby Town, the Steelmen overcame a strong challenge from Droyslden to maintain their Blue Square North play-off hopes on Wednesday night.
Corby hosted a Bloods` side who started the evening seven points ahead of their hosts and in sixth place in the table, but got the boost of an early 6th minute goal from former Lincoln City favourite Paul Mayo.
It proved to be the only goal of the game in front of a freezing 202 spectators at the Rockingham Triangle.
The win puts Corby five points adrift of the play-off places, but with games in hand on most around them.
