There were only a couple of league games in Blue Square North on Saturday due to the FA Trophy, with the game at the Impact Arena between Alfreton Town and Hyde United rearranged late after laet week`s postponement.
And a comfortable 4-0 success for the Reds pushed them back into the play-off places and added to ten-man Hyde`s relegation fears.
Ben Mills gave the home side an 11th minute lead that Liam Hearn added to from the penalty spot 5 minutes later.
The Tigers were reduced to ten-men with Chris Lynch sent-off and Alfreton went on to add to their tally with further goals from Hearn again on 68 minutes and Josh Law 5 minutes later.
The game at Marston Road between Stafford Rangers and Droylsden finished all-square at 2-2, although it took a last-gasp equaliser to salvage a point for the home side.
The Bloods were looking to move into second place with a victory, but fell behind to a 37th minute Levi Reid effort.
They eventually pulled back on terms after 72 minutes, courtesy of a Jermaine Johnson own goal and then took the lead less than 3 minutes later when Alex Brown netted.
However, as the clock ticked towards injury-time Fabrice Kasiama grabbed Rangers` leveller fron the penalty spot.
