Forest Green Rovers` new manager David Hockaday is certainly not letting the grass grow under his feet when it comes to changes in his New Lawn squad.
Ahead of Tuesday`s important home Blue Square Premier fixture against local rivals Kidderminster Harriers, whilst Hockaday agreed with Ross Stearn that he could leave the club by mutual consent, he then moved swiftly to sign 20-year-old Loren Maxwell.
Maxwell had been an apprentice at Hockaday’s previous club Watford but spent the last twelve months at the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain, having only just returned from their sunny climes to face the rigors of a colder atmosphere in the Cotswolds.
A tall athletic striker he will certainly be in the squad for the match and, depending on the fitness of Sean Rigg, it maybe that he could get more game time than he expected.
He certainly will play a full part in Rovers` reserve fixture at Swansea City on Wednesday in the totesport.com Football Combination.
