Blue Square Premier club Crawley Town have signed 28-year-old free agent Calum Willock.
Willock joined Crawley`s league rivals Stevenage Borough in January 2008 after turning down a new contract with Port Vale.
Willock departed Vale Park after five months, despite the fact that the Valiants were keen to keep him. But the deciding factor was Willock`s desire to be nearer his family in the south.
The 6`1” striker started his career at Fulham before joining Peterborough United. He was then signed by Brentford on the last day of the 2006 transfer window as a replacement for DJ Campbell for a fee of £50,000.
He was a regular in the Bees` team in the 2006/07 season but after the signing of Neil Shipperley, Willock dropped to the bench and was released in May whereupon he joined Vale, intially on trial.
Willock struck four times in thirty-two games for Boro during the 2008/09 season. He was an unused substitute in the FA Trophy final and was released in May.
He scored twice for AFC Wimbledon in a friendly against a Fulham XI in pre-season. However, neither club nor player were unable to reach an agreement regarding a contract.
Willock has represented St Kitts & Nevis at international level.
