Newly-promoted Dover Athletic moved to the top of the Blue Square South table after a 2-0 win at Thurrock on Tuesday night.

Maidenhead United gained a 2-0 win against Welling United at York Road in which Brad Quamina put the Magpies in front after 23 minutes.

However, it took until 7 minutes from time when Alex Wall made it 2-o for the home fans to relax.

Eastleigh beat Bath City by the same scoreline at Twerton Park.

Andy Forbes opened the scoring after just 3 minutes and defender Tom Jordan doubled the Spitfires` advantage in the 18th minute.

Staines Town won 3-1 at Clarence Park against St Albans City, and finishe the game with ten-men following the late dismissal of Leroy Griffiths.

Griffiths had earlier given the Swans a 4th minute lead from the spot and Howard Newton and Chris Bourne added further goals in the 30th and 36th minutes.

Jamie Thurlbourne pulled a goal back on 73 minutes before Griffiths was sent-off for elbowing.
