With Saturday 4th September looming fast on the horizon, all clubs below the Football League are being requested to do something to spread the message that the world of `non-League` football is alive and kicking.
With just over a week to the day, which coincides with the broadcast on Channel 433 by Premier Sports of the first of at least Blue Square Bet Premier fixtures this season, Forest Green Rovers are making the following offer to season ticket holders of any Premiership or Football League clubs.
Attend Rovers home match on that day when Southport are the visitors to the New Lawn in Nailsworth and adults can enter via turnstile “B” of the Main Stand for just £10. Kick Off is at 3pm with the entry price for concessions at £8 and children under 16yrs just £2.
With no Premiership or Championship football on the day and with local clubs Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town and Swindon Town all playing away fixtures in League One and Two and all having long trips to northern based clubs, now is the time to support your local Step 1 club.
Rovers are currently the top positioned club in the region outside of the Football League so why not set aside your normal habit of just watching your own club and help another to promote all that is best at their level of football.
All fans will be made most welcome to a club known throughout the country for being a ‘family friendly club’, set in the heart of the Cotswolds with an invitation to join all genuine fans in a drink before the game in the Green Man public house, Rovers own pub set in the stadium.
