Alfreton Town enjoyed a sixth straight victory in the Blue Square Bet North on Bank Holiday Monday with a 2-0 success against Stafford Rangers at the Impact Arena.

Shaun Vipond netted a late winner as Workington edged out struggling Vauxhall Motors 2-1 at Borough Park.

The Reds struck through Jonny Wright in the 54th minute. Obi Anorou drew level with 10 minutes remaining before Vipond pounced 4 minutes from time to bag the points.

Solihull Moors won 1-0 at St George`s Lane against Worcester City, with Ryan Beswick`s 32nd minute effort proving decisive.

Goals by Glenn Walker after 27 minutes and defender Chris Hope just before half time was enough for Corby Town to see off Hinckley United at the Rockingham Triangle.

Yorkshire rivals Guiseley and Harrogate Town both scrambled 1-0 wins. Newly-promoted Guiseley beat Hyde FC, courtesy of Liam Needham's 18th minute effort, while Graeme Armstrong`s 78th minute penalty won it for Harrogate at Stalybridge Celtic.

Blyth Spartans enjoyed an excellent 3-0 win at the Butcher`s Arm s against fancied Droylsden.

Stephen Turnbull broke the deadlock just past the hour-mark before both he and then Paul Brayson added to the tally in injury-time.
