Histon have announced that Zac Mills, Lewis Taaffe and Jim Stevenson have signed their first contracts with the Blue Square Bet Premier club.
All three have been part of the club’s partnership with Cambridge Regional College, studying for qualifications to equip them for a career in football whilst training with the club.
Although all three made their break through into the first-team last season, this announcement is recognition for their hard work and development to a stage whereby they can all become important regular members of the first-team squad.
They join Daniel Sparkes, Erkan Okay, Callum Stewart and Joe Welch in the squad, whilst David Knight is currently training with York City with a view to a possible loan move.
Manager John Beck also confirmed that goalkeeper George Lawton has been offered terms to sign for the club for the coming season.
Lawton has been impressive in the pre-season friendlies and saved a penalty in the game against an African Select XI.
A local lad, he was a Histon Hornet in his earlier days and is currently studying at Loughborough University.
