The directors of Blue Square Bet Premier club Histon announced at Thursday night`s Fans` Forum that John Beck has been appointed as first-team manager.
Beck was prevously assistant to Steve Fallon during a highly successful period at the club. He is widely respected in the game and has a reputation for developing potential and producing talented players.
Beck returns to the club with a vision to build a team which combines experienced players alongside young scholars with a bright future in the game.
A spokesman for the club said: “The directors are confident that John is the right man to consolidate our status in the Blue Square Bet Premier, move the club forward and rekindle the passion that has previously been the Histon hallmark.
“As a Board we look forward to working in harness with John for the benefit of the whole club and eagerly anticipate the challenge of the new season.”
