npower League Two club Gillingham have signed defender Tony Sinclair from Blue Square Bet South side Woking.
The 25-year-old was an apprentice with the Gills but since leaving the club in 2003 has played for a host of non-League clubs, including Beckenham Town, Fisher Athletic and Welling United.
Last season the versatile defender played for Woking, whom he helped reach the play-off final.
Sinclair has signed a one-year contract with an option to extend by a further season.
Gills` boss Andy Hessenthaler, who came up against his new signing whilst managing Dover Athletic last season, is delighted with the signing and feels he will be a huge asset. He said: "He's decent in the air, is very athletic and offers something we haven't really got at the back. He's only 25 and I think he can comfortably play in League Two."
