Cherries Move for Arter
20 May 2010 09:37:00

Midfielder Harry Arter has joined recently promoted Coca-Cola League One outfit AFC Bournemouth from Blue Square Bet South club Woking for a fee to be determined by Tribunal.

Arter started his career with Charlton Athletic in 2007 and made his debut for The Addicks at the age of 17 against Luton Town in the League Cup in September of that year.

In January 2009, he had a trial with Ipswich Town having earlier gained experience in loan spells in non-League football with Staines Town and Welling United.

He was released by Charlton at the end of the 2008/09 season and joined Woking on a one-year contract.

A talented and skilful player, Arter quickly made himself a fans' favourite at Kingfield and, leading up to the January 2010 transfer window, it was widely speculated that he would be joining Swindon Town after impressing during the Cards` FA Cup visit earlier in the campaign.

Now, after Woking failed to bounce back into Blue Square Premier at the first attempt after losing the play-off final to Bath City, Arter has moved to the Cherries.
