Blue Square Bet Premier club Forest Green Rovers will be opening the doors to the public on Thursday, 29th July, when they are hosting a unique evening.
To kick the evening off at 7.30pm a select squad will be taking on Laverstock & Ford from the Sydenhams Wessex League at the New Lawn. There will be no charge for entry to the match but all attending will be asked instead to make a donation to the charity choice of the clubs new shirt sponsors.
The new shirt sponsors, who have signed a deal for a minimum of two years, has been a closely guarded secret within the corridors of the club and their identity will only be revealed on the pitch before the match kick off. Their nominated charity is “Age UK”
After making a charity donation to enter fans will have the opportunity to meet the 1st team players and look at the new shirts and will then be able to tour everywhere in the stadium, including the new Green Club and Black & White Lounge facilities. They will also be able to see the hospitality boxes, boardroom and areas which many fans do not get the chance to see normally on a match day.
Anyone wishing to purchase season tickets, Green Club or Black & White Lounge memberships will be able to do so on the evening and then at 9pm there will be a ‘Fans Forum’ in the Carol Embrey Suite until 10pm when there will be club personnel present, including the Chairman and Manager, together with a senior management member for the new shirt sponsors all of whom will welcome questions from the floor.
