Alfreton Town fans have been quick to show their support for the team for this Sunday’s Blue Square North play-off final at Fleetwood Town.
The club took orders and finances for more than 500 tickets in the first day of sales on Tuesday.
Chairman Wayne Bradley said: “We are delighted with the reaction of the Alfreton public. It was always going to be a difficult logistical task to arrange with the short time span, but to sell over 500 tickets in one day is tremendous news for the club and especially the players.
“We already have four coaches fully booked for the game and we expect the scenes of the fan base which went to Scunthorpe United in the FA Cup will be beaten.”
The Reds took 804 fans to Glanford Park in November 2008 for what was Alfreton’s first ever appearance in the second round proper.
Bradley added: “The club are confident that, with Fleetwood Town’s cooperation, and the league’s backing and support, there will be sufficient tickets available for the demands of our supporters.
“Our fans can keep up to date with the ticket availability situation with day-to-day announcements through the official website at www.alfretontownfc.com”
