Gregory Commits to Stags

David Holdsworth, manager of Blue Square Premier club Mansfield Town, is hoping Lee Gregory can follow in the footsteps of Jake Speight.
The 21-year-old striker has agreed a new deal with the Stags for next season, having hit twenty-three goals on loan at Glapwell, Harrogate Town and FC Halifax Town.
Gregory is still a relative unknown – as Speight was when he arrived at Field Mill from Droylsden before going on to grab seventeen goals in the season just over.
But Stags` boss Holdsworth hopes the ex-Staveley Miners Welfare man's star will rise and said: "I like to feel that I monitor the lower leagues, as I did with Jake.
"Lee is a very good prospect and goalscorer. Hopefully he will get a run in pre-season and we will see where we are at."
