Blue Square Premier side Eastbourne Borough have signed midfielder Luke Rooney from Coca-Cola League One side Gillingham on loan for the rest of the season.
An attack-minded player, Rooney has made thirteen first-team appearances for the Gills this season, scoring on his full League debut against Exeter City in September. He has also netted against Southampton.
The teenager turned professional in summer 2009 and has recently signed a two-year deal to stay at Priestfield until 2012.
