Benjamin Makes Boro Return
15 January 2010 16:54:00

Northampton Town striker Joe Benjamin has returned on loan to Blue Square Premier club Eastbourne Borough for the remainder of the season.

The 19-year-old spent a month at Priory Lane in November but a mounting injury list at Sixfields ruled out a loan extension and he went back to the Cobblers for the busy festive programme and made two starts for the Division Two club.

The 5`11” Benjamin made six appearances for Boro in his previous spell and the quick, strong
striker, who can also play wide, became a crowd favourite.

He goes straight into the squad for Borough"s away BSP trip to Cambridge United on Saturday.

Meanwhile, promising midfielder James Fraser - five first team appearances this season - has gone on loan to Ryman League Premier Division side Sutton United to build up his match fitness after returning to action earlier in the season after a lengthy injury lay-off.
