Former Hartlepool United, Hereford United, Stockport County and York City left-back Mark Robinson has become the latest player to leave Blue Square Premier club Gateshead.
The 28-year-old has joined Blue Square North outfit Gainsborough Trinity and. along with the recently departed Darren Williams, made his debut in Saturday's 3-2 win over Alfreton Town.
Summer signing Robinson played in the first ten games of the season for Gateshead but lost his place to Phil Cave before reclaiming his place in December.
The Guisborough-based player made 23 appearances for Gateshead and, like Williams, has signed for Gainsborough until the end of the season.
"We will see where we go from their," said Robinson "Brian Little is a quality manager who has been in the Premier League and had been after me for awhile.
"My contract was cancelled by mutual consent at Gateshead so that I could join Gainsborough and it was great to get off to a winning start.
"I was gobsmacked when I was put on the transfer list as I had just produced my best performance of the season at Mansfield and was one of the better players against Barrow in the FA Trophy.
"With Paul Heckingbottom signed I obviously didn't fit in the managers plans and when you train every week you want to play on a matchday."
Cave will provide back up to the experienced Heckingbottom for the rest of the season and manager Ian Bogie hopes to bolster his midfield ahead of Tuesday's crunch at home to Forest Green Rovers.
