Blue Square Premier strugglers Grays Athletic have added three more players to their squad ahead of the weekend when they are not expecting to play at a snow-bound Kettering Town.
Thirty-four-year-old goalkeeper Glyn Garner has joined after being released by Shrewsbury Town last month.
Garner started his career at Cwmbran Town before moving to Llanelli.
In 2000, he joined Bury where he played over 140 games over five seasons. He joined Leyton Orient in 2005, going on to make nearly 100 appearances.
In May 2007, Garner (pictured) turned down the opportunity of an extended contract with Orient to join League Two side Shrewsbury Town as their first choice goalkeeper on a three-year deal worth £312,000.
However, he fell out of favour under new manager Paul Simpson and he left the club last month after agreeing to an early cancellation of his contract.
Twenty-year-old Sam Lechmere has also returned to Essex after being let go by Yeovil Town recently.
Lechmere, who has trialled with Barclays Premier Leaguers West Ham United in the past, came through the youth set-up at Thurrock and signed a two-year contract during the 2008/09 season having impressed in the senior side.
He then moved onto Aveley before signing for League One side Yeovil in November 2009.
However, they recently announced that the midfielder would not have his short-term contract renewed.
Lechmere played in the 2-0 Somerset Premier Cup win over Brislington on December 16th.
He was also an unused substitute for Yeovil's 3-1 League One defeat at Swindon Town on December 28th.
Grays have also put 16-year-old midfielder Arian Retkoceri on Conference forms.
Retkoceri has impressed in Kent district football and has also played in the Bulmers Cider Kent League with Erith & Belvedere.
