Blue Square North club Vauxhall Motors have signed former Wrexham defender Gareth Evans.
A centre back and Wrexham fan, Davies was spotted by Wrexham while playing with the Cefn Druids Academy and subsequently switched to become a scholar at The Racecourse.
Evans was actually released prior to the 2006/07 season but funding was subsequently found to offer him a reprieve.
Evans has been quick to grab hold of his second chance, making his debut as a late substitute in the memorable 4-1 beating of Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in August 2006, and turned in a series of solid performances when called upon and ended the season with nine starts under his belt.
Awarded a new two-year contract in the summer of 2007, he joined Northwich Victoria on loan in September 2007, but was sent-off in his debut after just 30 minutes against Histon in the Blue Square Premier.
Evans left Wrexham in January 2009 to continue his footballing career in the United States and joined USL First Division club Austin Aztex in February 2009.
He was released by the Aztex at the end of the 2009 season and subsequently joined Motors.
