Gateshead FC v Hayes & Yeading United FC
09 October 2009 17:50:00

The Football Conference conducted a hearing at its Birmingham Offices on Friday (9th October) to consider a charge against Gateshead FC.

This was for a breach of Rule 8.6 - "failing to fulfill an engagement", following the abandonment the above fixture.

A Panel of independent members found the charge proved and made the following decisions:-.

1. The club was found guilty of "failure to fulfil an engagement" by being responsible for the above match being abandoned by the referee.

2. The result of the match is to stand.

3. The club is deducted one point, in accordance with Rule 8.6.

4. The club is fined £2,500. The fine is suspended until the club’s final match in the Football Conference in the 2009/10 season, subject to a similar breach of Rule not being repeated.

5. The club has the right of Appeal in accordance with Rule 17.4 within 14 days from the date of the written notice of this decision.
