Davis Joins Home-Town Club
03 February 2010 17:44:00

Bromley have given midfielder Tom Davis another crack at Blue Square South football after signing the 25-year-old from Ryman League Division One high-flyers Croydon Athletic.

Davis began his career as a junior with Fulham before a move to Ebbsfleet United.

A former England `C` international, he became an influential member of the St Albans City side that won promotion to the Conference and this prompted Lewes to shell out an undisclosed record fee to bring him to the Dripping Pan where he won a Blue Square South championship medal in 2007/08.

When Steve King's side broke up in the summer of 2008, Terry Brown moved quickly to land this creative, passing midfielder to the AFC Wimbledon ranks.

Bromley-born Davis then moved on to Dover Athletic last summer following the Dons` promotion to the Blue Square Premier. However, his move to the Kent coast didn`t work out quite as well as expected and, following a succussful loan spell, he joined Croydon Athletic last month on a more permanent basis.
