Brian Little, manager of Blue Square North club Gainsborough Trinity, has snapped up former Chesterfield and Huddersfield midfielder Mark Hudson.
Bishop Auckland-born, Hudson joined Middlesbrough and made five first-team appearances and also had loan spells with Chesterfield and Carlisle United before being sold by Boro in March 2003 to the Spireites.
He spent just over two years at Saltergate, making seventy-seven appearances, before moving to Huddersfield, where he played a further sixty-one times.
He joined Rotherham in June 2007 and was a regular in the side before being released at the end of the 2008/09 season, whereupon he joined Blackpool on a non-contract basis in early August 2009.
