Blue Square Bet North club Eastwood Town have signed right-back John Leonard from npower Championship side Hull City, and he went straight into the team for Saturday`s 2-0 defeat by Workington.
Leonard joined Hull as a 16-year-old and was part of the league and cup-winning youth team in 2007/08.
He actually played for Blue Square Bet Premier neighbours Mansfield Town against the Badgers in their pre-season meeting.
He was handed a professional contract at the end of the 2008/09 season but was released in May.
