Blue Square Bet North club Stalybridge Celtic have registered former Liverpool forward Ryan Crowther and have sold John Hardiker.

Stockport-born Crowther (above), 21, initially played for his home-town club and made his first-team debut in January 2006 in a 2-2 draw against Cheltenham Town and went on to become the youngest captain in the club`s history.

In the summer of 2007 Crowther earned a dream move to Premiership giants Liverpool and he featured regularly for the Reds` successful reserve team during the 2007/08 season.

However, he was released in August 2009.

Experienced defender Hardiker (pictured) has signed for league rivals and neighbours Droylsden.

Hardiker, 28, joins Dave Pace`s squad having previously been with Tameside neighbours Stalybridge Celtic.

Hardiker`s former clubs include Stockport County, Morecambe, Bury, Fleetwood Town and Forest Green Rovers.
