08 March 2010 14:44:00

Blue Square North club Stalybridge Celtic have announced the signings of midfielder Michael Twiss and utility player Danny Adams.

Twiss (pictured), 32, arrives at Bower Fold having been released by Coca-Cola League Two promotion-hopefuls Morecambe.

He made 202 appearances for the Shrimpers, scoring fifty-three goals. His previous clubs include Chester City, Leigh RMI and Port Vale.

He links up again with Celtic boss Jim Harvey, who managed him at Christie Park.

Adams, 34, also joins Stalybridge from Morecambe, where he made 113 appearances. His previous clubs include Altrincham, Macclesfield, Stockport County and Huddersfield Town.

Both players go straight into the squad for Tuesday's game with Blue Square North title favourites Southport.
