Keeper Blow for Basingstoke
25 August 2010 12:03:00
Blue Square Bet South club Basingstoke Town have announced that goalkeeper Chris Tardif will be leaving after the home game against Braintree Town on 4th September.
Tardif has a young family and has been offered a position back home in Guernsey that he cannot refuse.
He was planning to return there in later life but this opportunity has presented itself now and he feels that he is unable to turn it down.
Tardif has enjoyed his short stay back with Basingstoke and is sad to be leaving. This is obviously a very big loss for the club but they fully understand his point of view.
In the meantime, Tardif has offered to fly back for games if and when needed.
