International Joins Telford
03 September 2010 17:57:00

Blue Square Bet North club AFC Telford United have signed Trinidad & Tobago wide player Josh Johnson.

A free-scoring right winger for San Juan Jabloteh in his native Trinidad, Johnson won a full-time contract at Wrexham after arriving for a trial in the summer of 2006, but was released from the Racecourse at the end of season 2007/08 after making twenty-nine League appearances.

A Trinidad & Tobago under-20 international who played in the 2004 Olympic qualifying series in Mexico, he signed for Principality Welsh Premier side Rhyl in August 2008 and received his first full international call-up three months later, but failed to impress at Belle Vue and was released in May 2009, joining Elements Cefn Druids in August.

He returned to Trinidad in September and re-signed for San Juan Jabloteh, but was back in the Welsh Premier with Airbus UK Broughton in January 2010.
