Shrews Allow Gray to Stay
31 December 2009 10:36:00

Coca-Cola League Two Shrewsbury Town have agreed to extend Andre Gray's loan deal with Blue Square North club AFC Telford United for a further month.

The 19-year-old striker has impressed at the Bucks and scored a late winner against Stafford Rangers on Boxing Day.

"He adds extra energy and looks a good player," said Telford assistant boss Larry Chambers.

Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson added: "We'll keep an eye on him. Andre's a raw talent and first-team football will help bring him on.”

Shrewsbury have, however, inserted a 24-hour recall notice if they need Gray back.
