AFC Wimbledon moved to the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier table after a hard-fought victory against Kettering Town at Rockingham Road on Saturday.
Kettering`s poor run at home continued in a pulsating contest in front of a crowd of 1,727.
The hosts saw an early penalty shout turn into a yellow card for Greg Taylor who was cautioned for diving after going down under a challenge from Ismail Yakubu.
That incident lit the touch paper and Wimbledon took the lead on 11 minutes when Sam Hatton bent a low free kick inside Nathan Abbey's near post.
But Kettering were level 5 minutes later when Iyseden Christie's shot took a wicked deflection and left Seb Brown completely wrong-footed.
Christie was desperately unlucky not to put the Poppies in front as he superb header crashed down off the underside of the bar. But Wimbledon really should have been ahead at the break as Danny Kedwell produced one of the misses of the season.
Sammy Moore broke the offside trap and Abbey palmed his shot straight to the frontman. The goal was open but the striker somehow spooned it over.
The Dons started the second half well with Moore driving an effort just wide before Christian Jolley shot over from the narrow angle. But the visitors did regain the lead as Kedwell made amends for his earlier miss by blasting home after good work from Jolley.
Kettering hit back and Christie had a penalty appeal waved away after he appeared to be brought down by Harris.
The Poppies huffed and puffed but Wimbledon should have wrapped it up when Jolley was sent clear by Ricky Wellard but his finish was straight at Abbey.
Marna shot straight at Brown at the other end but that was as good as it got for Kettering as the visitors held on.
Magno Vieira scored his sixth goal of the season to help Fleetwood Town draw away at ambitious Crawley Town.
The home side took the lead after 8 minutes when Craig McAllister found some space inside the box and fired home from close range.
Vieira equalised for the visitors on 25 minutes when he got on the end of a Paul Linwood pass to finish from inside the box.
And the Brazilian went close to winning it for the Cod Army but saw his shot hit the bar and fly over as both sides had to settle for a point.
Ben Wilkinson netted the only goal as Tamworth secured a win over Mansfield Town at Field Mill to knock the Stags off top spot.
The midfielder latched onto a Danny Thomas pass before stroking the ball home in the 30th minute.
The Stags were unlucky not to be level when Keigan Parker's free kick came back off the bar.
Louis Briscoe had a 12-yard shot blocked and Luke Medley forced a save out of Lambs` keeper Ross Atkins.
Southport kept a fourth consecutive clean sheet but were unable to break down Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn.
Chances were at a premium in a scrappy game which saw seven players booked.
Rovers keeper James Bittner did well to keep out Matty McGinn`s free kick and Ben Gill saw his header parried by Port`s Tony McMillan.
Reece Styche, Jon Else and Lee Smith all tested McMillan during a second half in which Forest Green looked the more likely to break the deadlock.
A quickfire double sent Rushden & Diamonds to defeat against York City at the KitKat Crescent.
Peter Till and new signing Leon Constantine struck for York inside a 3-minute spell to settle an otherwise dull encounter.
The first half failed to produce a single attempt on target and neither side even won a corner, although Diamonds created a chance when Rene Howe was denied by York skipper Michael Ingham.
Eastbourne Borough managed to defy the odds and their numerical disadvantage to secure a point against Darlington after going down to nine men at Priory Lane.
Neil Jenkins was the first to receive his marching orders for serious foul play after half-an-hour. The hosts tried to regroup, but were dealt another blow just 2 minutes later when Rikki Banks also saw red for a deliberate handball.
To make matters worse for Boro, Chris Senior got on the end of Matt Smart's free kick to head the Quakers in front just before half time.
Jamie Taylor got Boro level in the 69th minute and the hosts held on grimly for a point.
Cambridge United romped to a comfortable 5-0 victory over strugglers Gateshead at the Abbey Stadium.
Daryl Clare's penalty was saved by keeper Tim Deasy but Cambridge pushed on to take the lead aftr 28 minutes when Danny Wright netted from 12 yards out.
Former Gateshead striker Clare made up for the missed penalty by heading home in the 53rd minute and Simon Russell extended the lead with his tap-in on 74.
Brian Saah headed a fourth a couple of minutes later and Wayne Gray completed the rout, nodding in Sam Ives' cross 8 minutes from time.
Omar Riza scored a second half penalty to help Histon come from behind to beat Hayes & Yeading United at Church Road.
The home side had taken the lead after 15 minutes when an Adam Green cross was met by Elliott Buchanan, who tapped in from close range.
Antonio Murray equalised for the visitors on 34 minutes when he shot home from the edge of the area.
And Histon won it 5 minutes into the second half when Josh Lennie fouled Danny Mills in the area and Riza slotted in the resultant penalty.
Bath City and Barrow remain near the foot of the table after they shared the spoils 1-1 at Twerton Park.
Barrow made the breakthrough after 32 minutes when the ball sat up nicely for midfielder Michael Pearson, who volleyed home.
The Cumbrians almost scored a second when Andy Cook forced a fine save from Bath keeper Ryan Robinson.
But the home side levelled 13 kinutes from time when Marc Canham's corner was headed home from close range by Darren Edwards.
Goals from Callum Gittings and Chris McPhee lifted Kidderminster Harriers out of the drop zone and left Altrincham stranded at the bottom of the table.
Substitute Gittings was only on the pitch 4 minutes when he placed his left-footed effort past James Coates.
Damian Reeves levelled for the Robins 15 minutes from time as he broke free of the defence to fire home from 12 yards out.
But Harriers won it when McPhee scored from the spot on 80 minutes after James Smith was penalised for handball.
