Blue Square Bet Premier club Crawley Town have announced that striker Craig McAllister has put pen-to-paper on a deal at The Broadfield Stadium.
McAllister, 30, has been at CocCola League One Exeter City for the last two seasons and during that time has had loan spells with Barnet and Rotherham respectively.
The talisman striker has significant experience at Conference National level and was a free scoring striker in his time at Woking.
Reds` boss Steve Evans has over the last few seasons been unsuccessful on a number of occasions to take the Glaswegian born striker on loan, so he is obviously delighted to capture him on a permanent deal.
Evans said: “Craig is a player I have admired for some time and I have no doubt he will prove to be a significant signing for us.
“He will compliment the strikers we have signed or those we are about to sign and will give us a different option from the others - that will be needed in what is going to be a very competitive season in The Blue Square Bet Premier.
“I have no doubt Craig will become a firm favourite with the supporters and of course his fellow players. He has a great work ethic and a desire to be successful and I got that feeling every time I met the lad. He is very highly rated by the management team down at Exeter and they regarded him as being very unlucky not to have been given another contract but that may turn out to our advantage.
“Craig has had a lot of interest but I have worked hard to bring him here and he, like me, is really excited about the challenge we have ahead of us; he is also up for the fight to get a place in our starting line-up.”
McAllister said: “I cannot wait till we get started. The project here under Steve Evans and Bruce Winfield is really exciting and I am looking forward to helping Crawley Town challenge at the top of the Conference.
“The manager worked wonders here over the last few seasons and that is widely recognised but he wants us to become true promotion contenders in the season ahead and that is why I have signed.
“I have looked in detail at the squad the Gaffer is putting together and I am excited by both the team and personal challenge.”
