Harries Strike OGL Deal
28 April 2010 11:49:00

Blue Square Premier club Kidderminster Harriers are thrilled to announce that a deal has been agreed for local IT support and solutions company OGL Computer to return to the club as main sponsors for the next two years.

The OGL name will already be more than familiar to Harriers fans - for seven seasons spanning 1997 to 2004, the Worcestershire-based company were shirt sponsors here at Aggborough, a time in which the club were crowned champions of the Football Conference, and promoted to the Football League.

And now, starting with the forthcoming 2010/11 Blue Square Bet Premier campaign, the firm, who employs 170 people in their two offices in Stourport Road, Kidderminster and Worcester Road in Stourport-on-Severn, will return to the club after agreeing on a two-year deal with Harriers' Chairman Barry Norgrove.

OGL will once again take over the front of the brand new home and away shirts, whilst also sponsoring the rear of the shirts and shorts.

"This is an absolutely fantastic deal for the club," a delighted Norgrove told harriers.co.uk today.
"For OGL to come on board with us and take over not only the shirt but also the shorts is absolutely brilliant, it is truly special.

"They are a great company, the club has worked with them before and I have as well, and we feel it is going to be a deal that works out really well for both parties.

"They were shirt sponsors for seven years which is an extremely long time so that tells you a lot about how highly they, as a local company, value their local football club - and we couldn't be happier to be strengthening that link again.

"OGL were with us during one of our most successful and memorable periods, and hopefully we can enjoy more success in the future."

OGL Director Neil Morris added: "The association we had with the Harriers before was good for both parties and we're positive that this one can be as well.

"We have strong links with local community and we support a variety of initiatives, including arts festivals and Worcestershire County Cricket Club. It came to our attention that the club was actively seeking a new sponsor and we're looking forward to supporting the Harriers again and promoting OGL to local business with this deal.

"We also have a number of Harriers fans here at OGL, so this is a very popular move amongst our staff.

"We enjoyed our previous spell sponsoring the Harriers and, being presented with the opportunity again, we are delighted to sign-up for a second term."
