Worcester Still Searching for Away Win

In the only game in Blue Square South on Tuesday night, Worcester City failed to build on their FA Trophy triumph and added to their relegation fears as they lost in freezing conditions at Ship Lane against Thurrock.
Worcester, 3-1 winners against Blue Square Premier outfit Grays Athletic last Saturday, trailed after just 60 seconds to a David Bryant effort but had restored parity within 10 minutes through Craig Wilding.
Matt Bodkin sealed the points for Thurrock 10 minutes into the second half and it needed some outstanding saves from City keeper Jake Meredith to stop the Essex side adding more.
The result lifts Thurrock into fourth spot but means Worcester are still looking for their first away win of the season.
