Matthew Barnes-Homer was the hero as England `C` chalked up a superb friendly win over Poland in Grodzisk Wielkopolski on Tuesday night.

The Kidderminster Harriers` striker was making his debut for Paul Fairclough's side and popped up with just 15 minutes left to score the winner on a damp and foggy night in Poland.

Cambridge United's Chris Holroyd was also on the scoresheet, cancelling out Poland's opener on 36 minutes.
