Blue Square North club Workington and their Coca-Cola League One neighbours Carlisle United have reached agreement over the wages of defender Tom Aldred, who has rejoined the Borough Park outfit for a second month.
The Reds wanted to bring in the Scottish under-19 international for a second month but United wanted Workington to pay a percentage of his earnings.
The two teams had until 12pm on Friday to settle the issue in order for Aldred to be eligible to play in Saturday’s FA Cup Third Qualifying Round against Radcliffe Borough.
The player had already stated his intention to stay on loan with Workington and manager Darren Edmondson is delighted the deal has been struck.
Should the Reds progress, his loan period would also cover the Fourth Round Qualifying.
