Good Draw for Fleetwood
29 September 2009 10:07:00

Fleetwood Town have been rewarded with another FA Cup home draw after seeing off Blue Square North rivals Farsley Celtic on Saturday.

Town will host another Blue Square North side in the competition’s Third Qualifying Round when Vauxhall Motors visit Highbury on Saturday, 10th October.

Striker Adam Warlow gave his reaction: “It’s a good draw for us. Any game at home is what we were looking for as we fancy our chances at Highbury. Vauxhall aren’t going to be an easy team to beat. They are in the same division and that will make it a tough game.”

Town’s joint leading scorer claimed his side’s consolation in a 2-1 league defeat at Vauxhall in August. “We probably shouldn’t have lost that game to be fair after playing well. They beat us on the day, so fair enough. It’s nothing to do with revenge, it’s the FA Cup and the day will be about going through to the next round.”

Warlow, 22, scored in Saturday’s 3-1 win against Farsley and wants to build a cup run of his own. “As a striker it’s always good personally to score, particularly in the FA Cup. I’ve something to build on for myself but as long as the team is doing ok I’m happy.”

Vauxhall Motors were on the road in the last round when they thrashed Whitby Town 5-0 thanks to four from Lee Furlong.

Whitby are managed by Harry Dunn, who managed Blyth Spartans last season and led his former club to a Third Round home defeat against Blackburn Rovers.
