Blue Square Premier club Grays Athletic have signed Dagenham & Redbridge defender Anwar Uddin on short term loan.
Uddin (pictured) began his career at West Ham United, working his way up through the youth and reserve teams where he was captain.
In February 2002 decided to move to Sheffield Wednesday, then moving to Bristol Rovers the following summer, he was loaned out to Hereford United and AFC Telford United, and was released by Rovers at the end of the season.
He then settled in the team Dagenham & Redbridge, positioning as a defender, where he became the captain of the team.
Also returning to Grays on short term loan is Tottenham goalkeeper Lee Butcher.
Butcher has had a previous loan stint at the New Rec as well as with St Albans City, AFC Wimbledon and Margate.
